New Bern YMCA
The New Bern Y is conveniently located at 100 YMCA Lane
off Park Avenue. This is close to the center of New Bern and
is within a short drive from most neighborhoods.
The Y includes a full court indoor basketball court with
a walking, jogging, track on the 2nd floor.
The Y is the largest fitness facility in New Bern and
features two aquatic centers, racquetball court, indoor
basketball courts, indoor walking-running path, gymnastics
area, and a variety of exercise equipment, but not free
weights. They also have some nice outdoor fields for an
assortment of sporting activities..
The YMCA features men-women locker rooms each with a spa
and whirlpool.

Courts Plus
Is located at 2911 Brunswick Avenue off Glenburnie Road.
Like the Y, Courts Plus has an indoor and outdoor pool.
Courts Plus has quite an assortment of aerobic equipment.
For busy working professionals they offer child care while
you work out. Also there are swim, racquetball, and fitness
programs for youths of all ages.
They also have free weights for those looking to really
get serious about sculpting their bodies. personal trainers
are available.
Courts Plus is the place to go for serious racquetball
players. With 4 courts it is usually pretty easy to get a great
workout on the racquetball court. No other place in town
offers this many courts.
Courts Plus also has a spa and hot tub. And they even
offer Zumba, dodge ball, and quite a few other fun things to
get in shape.

Sound Fitness and Golf
Sound fitness is located just off HWY 70
East in the James City area at 610 Airport
Road.
Sound fitness is an adult oriented fitness
center that offers state of the art equipment for getting
and staying in shape.
Fitness classes include pilates, yoga, step,
and zumba. Sound fitness also offers personal training
suited to your individual needs.
Sound Fitness offers the only golf specific
fitness training. Some experts say this training will help
you hit the golf ball 10% further.
